How much to tip?

I usually pay around $300 to get my hair colored. But I moved and had to get a new stylist. I’ve always tipped $10/hr so if I’m at the salon for 6 hours I tip $60. Anyway the guy I went to this last time did a good job. I think there were things he could improve on but over all I am very happy and he’ll learn more the more he works with my hair. I was at the salon from 3p - 8p. And when he rang me out he only charged me $140. Which I felt was very inexpensive. So I tipped him $60 cash. Does that sound like enough? I went from burgundy to blonde.
