Has anybody’s visitor rules changed due to coronavirus?

I have to have a csection at 34+4 and im not sure if the hospital will allow visitors now due to the new virus going around (to me not baby). Or if I should say no visitors. Difficult situation. Definitely not how I envisioned my delivery:/

The hospital i work at is not treating covid 19 any different than the flu. Flu precautions are in effect, no visitors under 14 except for siblings and noone with flu symptoms allowed in the unit.

My hospital is not allowing visitors other than immediate family and no one under the age of 18. I would just call and ask your hospital about the visitation restrictions at this time

My son is in the nicu and they have flu season rules in effect. No one but mom and dad are allowed in to see him and only if you have no flu symptoms.

Same as flu symptoms.  If your sick you won't allowed and those 12 and older allowed only unless immediate family/siblings. They are also asking to keep newborns in room as much as possible.

Check out CDC recommendations. You should takes more precautions for the flu than anything.

The hospitals I work in screen for fever in visitors in the maternal ward before the virus so that hasn't changed but there's signs everywhere if you have a cough don't go near the makers of the tiny humans or the tiny humans. Stay home. Which is good practice anyways tbh. Don't go getting all you're sick all over the exhausted mom and new baby.
