How much is your average pumping session?

Trying to build a freezer stash and not having much luck. LO is EBF and going on 3 months so when he gets breast milk bottles he eats about 5oz, but I can only pump about 3-4oz per session - usually once in the morning and once at night. Even if he skips a feed and gets a bottle, I can only seem to pump 3 or 4 oz. I’m just confused because he must be able to get about 5 oz when he nurses, right? He’s right on track with weight.

Pace feed. A breastfed baby shouldn’t get more than 4oz until 1yr.

Babies mouths are more efficient than the pump. Baby does get more then your pump.

You could try to have a large glass or two of water a bit before pumping, and maybe try massaging or heat. Babies are more efficient than breast pumps, so as long as hes gaining weight properly I wouldnt be concerned.

When using bottles it really depends on the size nipple you are using .. make sure your nipple size is a 0 .. baby shouldn’t want anymore than 4oz if you are using the slowest flow nipple
