Clef lip?

Question

Does this look like a clef lip? If it was wouldn’t they have told me already? Am I just freaking out. I have my next appointment this Friday and will be asking them then. But till then I’m freaking out. I didn’t think anything of it until my MIL mentioned it. I’m currently 34 weeks and this pic was 33w 4d

I dont see a cleft lip at all. They would have seen that at the anatomy scan or the more recent one you had so dont worry! Cute baby though 😊😊

As someone who has a cleft lip - no, baby does not look like he/she has one. For one, the “slit” would be on the side, right below the nostril. Not in the middle of the nose. Also your doctor would’ve told you a long time ago, they do check for it at anatomy scans.

My MIL did the same thing!!!! She said “does he have a bump on his head, these all look like he has a knot” and I never thought a single thing of it until she said that! But the pics are definitely not 100% clear due to them being taken over a series of 6-10 seconds (that’s what the lady told me) 
Not to worry! I can’t stand when people say things like that without thinking! Lol

It's just baby's movement, they look for that at scans so definitely would have mentioned it. Don't stress too much. I find people - even family - try various ways to look for an issue or fault to scare us pregnant women.

I don’t think it’s cleft. Ultrasounds this late look weird sometimes. They could be pressed against the sac and look totally distorted.
