Long period

Has anyone ever had their period last several days longer than your normal?? My period was irregular last month in terms of arrival and flow but also after it should have been done (typical 5 days) but I have continued to have light bleeding/spotting for 8 additional days since into what’s supposed to be my fertile window. Could it have switched to ovulation bleeding? I’m super puzzled by this. Can anyone help?
