When to have baby shower ?

Hello! About how many weeks prior to your due date should you have a baby shower? Currently 21 wks but will deliver around July 12th. Would love your input! Thanks

Mines at 28 weeks! I hate people and as much as I appreciate the gifts I can’t stand attention on myself especially pregnant. So to please my mom she agreed to let me pick an earlier date as we have hot summers and last thing I wanted was to have to entertain people at 30+ weeks when it’s boiling out 😂 plus mid April gives me plenty of time to go through everything and stock up on anything we weren’t given!

I’m due July 5 and have mine April 4 at 27 weeks. I heard it was better to do it early so I’d have time to buy everything I do not receive as well as not be so tired there towards the end.

My first son was born in August and I had the shower in April. It was perfect I had time buy what I didn’t get. Also spent those last weeks just getting ready instead of dealing with stress of putting a shower together at the most exhausting time in the pregnancy.

I actually just asked this question in general pregnancy. I’m having mine at 35 weeks (May 30th)  a lot of the comments from the second time moms said they plan on 32 weeks or sooner because the first time 34-40 weeks they were too tired or it didn’t give them time to get everything ready for baby.
