Pt Evaluation - do we still go?

My son has an appointment for physical therapy evaluation next week.  I wasn't worried when I made the appointment,  but then I started reading about everything that is closing.  My school is closed down next week, libraries, restaurants, museums etc.  I know he needs to be evaluated and start therapy for his torticullus and flat head but I'm kind of nervous about taking him. I have a car seat cover and hand sanitizer etc, but it still makes me a little uncomfortable.   What would you guys do? Am I letting the panic get to me?  🤪

Just another idea that you may or may not be comfortable with. I took my daughter to a chiropractor for her torticollis starting at about 1 month. After about 5 visits, she already has much better range of motion in her neck and the flat spot has rounded. I noticed the range of motion improve after the first visit slightly and more each time. Any exposure to others could risk sickness of any kind, and I'm already a person who avoided places where sick people can tend to go/gather like hospitals during high times of sickness anyway. I just thought hospitals tend to see an influx in people who are sick so a chiropractor certified in pediatrics could be another option. At home she also stressed the importance of us doing a lot of tummy time and making sure we kept baby off the flat spot as much as possible. A great tip was using a rolled up recieving blanket near the flat spot to encourage them to lay on other parts of the head instead of resting on the same spot while you supervise them laying down, in a swing, bouncer, car seat, etc. I do think it's important to address the torticollis and flot spot early whatever way you decide. The precautions you plan to take going to your appointments sound good  but this is just another idea.

We are still planning to go to our appts unless they cancel. My daughter got stuck in the birth canal and needs pt on her neck and shoulder for nerve damage. I don’t want to delay that.

We just went today and it was mentally hectic. Bring hand sanitizer and use your sleeve to open doors and leave it at that. The nurses should be wearing gloves. It will be fine.
