My 18 week old will fall asleep on his own during the day no problem but at night it's a different story. He goes to bed between 6.30 and 7 but has to be rocked and cuddled in by me no one else he'll then sleep until about 11/12 have a bottle and fall asleep on me then I put him down in his bed next to mine and he'll sleep for about 20/30 mins then wake up but will only go back to sleep being cuddled this can go on until the morning if I don't give in and put him in my bed with me so I can actually get some sleep. Tonight I thought I'd leave him to cry it out he wasn't actually crying just a bit twisty he went from 12 until 4.30 being awake and me just putting his dummy in every now and then until I caved and picked him up. It's currently 5 in the morning and I'm stuck under a flat out baby and I've not slept a wink. How do I get a needy baby to be more independent and settle himself to sleep on his own?! From one very tired mama!
