Well, baby Tristan decided he wanted to come early. He was due on May 4th.. but decided to come March 6th instead. I was in labor on the morning of the 5th but after getting a steroid shot, epidural and magnesium the labor stopped during the night and I got the second steroid shot in the morning of the 5th... they also took me off the epidural. I was fine all day, had a few cramps but nothing crazy. So at like 10pm they moved me to another room since I was t in active labor anymore... literally 20 min later I started getting bad cramps... sooo painful. The doctor came and checked me and I was only 4cm dilated. They moved me back to the room I was in and gave me the epidural... it wasn’t working. My nurse cane in and I was hysterical crying so the anesthesiologist gave me a stronger shot... it worked for about 15 min then all the pain radiated to one spot on me left side so he gave me another strong shot and as they were putting the catheter in my my nurse said... “oh, there’s a head”. So I called my boyfriend to come back to the hospital and the doctor said he’s not going to make it. YoI’ll be delivered. 6 pushes and he was out. I was in the delivery room for like.. 15 min. My boyfriend got there as I was coming out; he thought I was going in lol. I got to see my son for 10 seconds then I didn’t get to see him til the 7th cause I had preeclampsia after the birth. It was so hard seeing my son hooked up to all the machines.. but he is doing amazing. He only has a CPAP breathing machine on him now. No more chest tubes and tolerating 4ml of water/formula mixture every 3 hours. He’s a strong boy and comes from very strong genes on both sides. I didn’t know the love I have for this baby even existed. It’s amazing.
