Please be a phase..

My son is starting to hit. It just started this week. When he gets mad he'll throw his hands down and then try to hit something or someone. Most of the time he'll go over to the dogs and hit them. I tell him that's naughty and redirect him. Is this a phase? My husband rough houses around with the dogs so I told him to stop that around the baby to see if that helps. My husband also has some violent family members so I'm praying this isn't something that is genetic. Ugh I'm so nervous 😔
