I have the IUD, my periods have been normal since I got it. I noticed during my periods that I’m not passing a lot of lining or blood clots like I usually do.

But anyways I started spotting an hour ago and just went pee and wiped and I caught a glimpse of this huge piece of flesh looking thing. It’s obvious uterine lining, but it’s thick and huge. I mean... it looks like dead flesh or meat. It’s white/pink and skin colored. I almost thought for a second that it was a fetus but it’s not. I just got freaked out. Which isn’t surprising because nothing like that has ever come out of me before in my life. Didn’t know what to make of it at first. To add what’s really weird about this, it didn’t come out with any blood. I spotted a tiny bit earlier and then I wiped and it came out by itself. No blood, no cramping, just absolute weird.

Should I be concerned?

I called my doctors office who literally spoke to me himself. He told me that the IUD is doing its job (it’s a new IUD) and thinning the lining of my uterus, and that the lining may come out pretty big because of the fact that I have endometriosis. As long as I’m not in pain, my IUD string is where it should be and I’m not bleeding profusely I should be okay. He said I could still make an appointment but I’d rather not.
