What did i do wrong?

yesterday i tried out a mooncup- BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!! i swear i thought i was gonna die.
i’ve never put in a cup before and it took me MANY tries, quite a bit of discomfort and MANY techniques to get her in... but my god i wasn’t ready for taking her out. it took like half an hour of blood sweat and tears (literally) and
the worst pain i have
ever
had.

it was like my vj was stretching to the point she was gonna rip in TWO- i mean i’m a virgin but i got the smallest size so surely it shouldn’t be this bad?
am i normal? is this a thing everyone goes through, like should i try again? (bit scared to ngl) 
it was a bit like this the first time i put in a regular tampon but nowhere near as excruciating as what i went through here :/

Did you break the suction seal? You cant just pull it straight out. 😬
Try pushing in the side with a finger to dent the rim a bit then that should allow it to slide out

I’m a virgin also and have been using a cup (mine is a MeLuna) for years, so that shouldn’t be it. 
You may have had the cup open while trying to insert it. That would make the cup’s opening larger and far more difficult (and painful) to insert. Try using a different fold (I use the C fold) or pushing in farther with your fingers when inserting to ensure it stays small. You also might not have gotten it in far enough. I made that mistake the first few times and it hurt like heck. 
If all else fails, you might just need a smaller cup (or softer). Different brands will feel differently inside. While the learning curve can be uncomfortable or bothersome, you really shouldn’t be in excruciating pain!!

the first time i was trying to take it out i was stressing and this caused my vagina to get tighter if that makes sense. just relax and even use a bit of toilet paper to grip onto the tip and fold it as you pull it out. it will be a bit messy the first few times and will hurt but i’m telling you it is AMAZING!!! another tip is to cough when taking it out if it is too far up!!! good luck girly ❤️

Lubricant or water can help with inserting. For the longest time I had to run hot water over mine for it to not be uncomfortable inserting

When I took mine out for the first time it really hurt too but I found crouching in the shower helped

I had to try my cup several different ways and times to finally get the rhythm of it. I’ve only tried the Divacup smallest one and now I’m on the Saalt smallest one too that I found at Target I think. Anywho, I found my routine with it which I can explain maybe with the hopes it might help. 
I should note I’ve been in pain usually when the cup isn’t full enough and I’m yanking straight on the cup but it’s suctioning my cervix so it helps me to pull at an angle (I usually pull now upward or sometimes downward or both to make it less painful. I only use it for very heavy days so it’s easier to fill and therefore pull out in general. I don’t use it the entire time I’m on my period which has worked for me and my flow and comfort.
In the beginning I found it easiest to put in and take put during a shower so I can be squatting. I used to squat on my bathroom floor in the beginning to get used to things. 
I didn’t like it at first and put it away a couple times but now I’m super happy with my routine. 
I’m not a virgin so I can only imagine your discomfort with that. I wish you the best of luck.

It took me a few days to get the hang of insertion and removal, and several periods before I really got good at it. I always have to wet mine before insertion, and I’ve found that a pointy fold works better for me. There’s a learning curve to it. There are different ways to fold it and there are a lot of different cups out there because we’re all made different. Put a cup in it. Com has a ton of tips from different folds to different cups and how to make sure you’ve got the right cup for your body. Keep trying but use tampons before you get too frustrated. I practiced using mine at home only the first few days to get used to insertion and removal without stress before trying public use. It’s been revolutionary for my cycle! Good luck!

Try the diva cup , I’m not a virgin but it smaller , do your research on the brands and sizes some are made smaller but always remember when you put your cup inside- 
NOTE: if it’s easier for you try putting in while in the shower or give her a splash a water so shes a little wet it maybe easier to insert
STEP1 : before inserting fold the cup into a U shape 
STEP2: spread her lips a little to make it easier to insert ( Make sure the cup is in a U shape while you insert) 
STEP3: once it’s in you can move it around to adjust if you need to if you feel like it’s till too big then find a smaller size
WHEN YOU REMOVE IT : pinch the cup or bend a side so you get a grip around it and slowly take it out ( when you take it and it get closer to exiting pinch the cup more almost like trying to close it but not quite and then slowly pull it out )

Do some research to make sure it's the right size. Everyone is a little different a d it's not as simple as some companies say. Diva says if you're glad kids you have had kids you are the bigger size but that was too painful for me. I found peachlife who has many sizes and tells you how to check your cervix height to figure out what size. I'm much happier with this cup and love the convenience it gives me and things are so much cleaner and comfortable.
