I can't believe I'm making a coronavirus post, but here I am. My mom, who is a 3rd grade teacher just informed me that all of Kansas schools will be closing for the rest of the school year. It breaks my heart for my younger brother. He's a highschool senior and as of right now, Prom and Graduation are suspended. He didn't go to Prom last year and had planned to this year. I was also so excited and looking forward to seeing him walk across the stage and graduate with his class in May. I don't live in Kansas so I had planned on coming up to visit him and some of my other family for a week or two in May. I'm not even sure if I should go now or not.. Two days after he graduates high school he goes to bootcamp so these are some of the last few days, weeks, and months he has left. I can understand why they cancelled it, for safety precautions due to the virus but still. It really sucks for him, and not only him, but all high school seniors!
