Period or spotting ?

So I’m supposed to get my period a couple of days ago but instead i just got very very light bleeding didn’t even require a liner and as the days went on it has gotten a bit darker but not the usually because I always have gotten regular/heavy period along with cramps but not this time so I’m not really sure what is happening. Plus last night I felt very nauseous and this morning woke up with sharp stomach pain..... I’m confused. Anybody’s opinion??
