Glucose test 29-30 weeks?

Question

I have to go to a lab for my glucose test but really don’t want to be around people right now because of the virus and social distancing. My doctor said I can wait until closer to 30 weeks because I’m low risk.
Anyone else go this late? I’ve been seeing most get it done by 28 weeks. Does 2 weeks make a huge difference?

I called my dr yesterday and she advised me not to go to the lab and learn to test my blood sugar on my own, well see what happens idk I am not risking my health or the unborn baby, plus I have a 10 month old that would need to sit with me for the hour and I’m not comfortable with that either

Can you go first thing in the morning? I got mine taken at an urgent care. They do lab work from 6 am till noon but the actual urgent care doesnt open till 9. I was the only one there besides the lab tech. Not sure if thats an option for you or not.

My doctor told me I was good to go to the lab before or after my next appointment if I wanted to wait because I'll still be in my 28th week, but I'll be 28 weeks 5 days the day I get it. As long as the lab will take me and allow me to do it, the hospital is a bit on edge with everything going on with this virus.
