I dont know if someone’s mentioned this but during this period i’ve really noticed how much ibuprofen helps with my cramps! I used to always take paracetamol because it was the most effective painkiller for me but it never helped with period cramps, i would sometimes take 4 pills in a day to no avail (yes i know that’s unhealthy but i was in a lot of pain). Ibuprofen has really made a difference. I woke up with cramps and took one pill, and i went the whole day with no cramps. I also took one before bed because i could feel them coming back and it helped! Same thing today, a pill in the morning and i’ve been cramp free all day.

It honestly feels amazing to have a painkiller actually work, especially because I used to have such painful cramps they could actually make me cry lol. And now i barely have discomfort! I take a 600mg pill, i dont know if it’s otc but i know that 400mg definitely should be.
