Has anybody successfully potty trained a 18 month old?

Question

I am currently 23 weeks along and have a 18 no and would love to get hom potty trained before his little brother gets here. Was wondering if anybody has successfully potty trained their 18 month old (or younger) child? 
Do you have tips?
What did you do?
How long did it take?

I’m sure people have done it but it is generally not recommended. Physically they aren’t ready and maturity wise they probably aren’t ready. I think you’d be better off just waiting until they show signs of being ready. It will be a lot less stress for both of you.

I started having my daughter use the potty at 18 months because she was interested.  I didn’t push her, just let her use it when she wanted.  She was fully potty trained by 21 months.

Look up elimination communication. The founder has several different books and resources for early potty training. I potty trained both kids at 18 months. It's totally worth it. The first 3 days are the hardest.

We haven't started potty training per se... But I bought my son a potty seat. I put him on it every night while I'm rinsing the bathtub out for him, and fixing the water temperature. He's peed a few times and we always make sure to get super excited. Sometimes he asks to go on it during the day but he doesn't usually go to the bathroom.
I'm hoping he'll start to use it more often so we can be close to trained when baby comes, but for now I just want him to get used to the toilet and feel comfortable even just sitting there. He'll be 19 months in the 7th.
