Implantation bleeding??

Okay so i had a pregnancy scare because my period was supposed to start 5 days ago but I took a test on the 17th and it came out negative (had unprotected sex on the 10th). I got some light pink/brown spotting yesterday with some mild cramps which i don’t normally get cramps during my period and if I do they hurt a lot more. Anyways I started bleeding today (not that much but enough to make me think it’s my period) and the cramps have gotten a littttlee more intense but still not bad. I read that this can be both a sign of period or implantation bleeding/cramping so what would it be in this case?
