Baby shopping?

Due to the corona virus,and ppl being out of work, I decided to  cancel my baby shower.It was going to be in July. How many weeks should I start buying baby items?I want to have my stuff ready before 34 weeks. I am due August 23rd. I was thinking of having a small welcome baby after my son is born, later on.I am not sure of that either. Any suggestions?

I wouldn’t have canceled your shower. My wedding is June 28. The peak of this is estimated to be in about 6 weeks. 8 weeks from now is the middle of May. I wouldn’t cancel anything that far out until we know how this will play out come the middle to end of May/early June.

don’t cancel just yet. but i started buying stuff at 11 weeks when i found out the gender. i’m 30 weeks sunday and i have everything i need for him including months worth of diapers and wipes. although i didn’t have a baby shower so i knew i’d have to buy it all anyways. start buying stuff when you want to!

Baby shower in july? I would have not cancelled it. And would have waited until at least may to figure out whats going to happen.
