Tuesday morning I woke up and thought I was having contractions so I called off work and my manager asked me if I needed my shifts covered so I said yes just to be on the safe side. I go to my doctors on Thursday and ask them for a note so that I can take my leave early. They say that they can’t give me one because they haven’t deemed it medically necessary but gave me fmla paperwork. I take it to my work and fill everything out that they need for me to take my leave. I get can take up to 8 weeks of leave and my due date is the 31st. That still leaves me with 6 weeks with my baby if I go on my due date but I feel like I’m going to have my baby soon.

I get a call from my hr this morning saying that she can’t approve me for leave and that the way that everything looks she can’t approve me for leave until the day that I go into labor, but she needs a doctors note for the days I was off. How can I get a note from a doctor saying that I can take my leave early?
