Hi All.

My 5 month old baby girl was diagnosed with a VSD (she had an 8mm hole in her heart) which required open heart surgery to amend.

Her surgery was on the Friday the 13th (just over a week ago)and was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

Normally a very good night sleeper, she now wakes up every 20 minuets screaming.... Pop the dummy in and she drifts off again.

To get her to sleep during the day is impossible as she screams herself to sleep.

It's almost as if she's terrified of sleeping.

Please guys, I need advice to help her get through / over this.

Has anyone had experience of PTSD in babies and has overcome it and HOW??
