Me and my boyfriend were watching the show Little Fires Everywhere (it’s on Hulu and really good btw) because he had caught a part of the show after I had been watching it so I restarted it for him to watch because he told me it seemed good. And only like half way into the first episode he says like he’s disgusted “this show is sexist. Why is there only girls in this show.” (There are a few guys in this show but it’s just not about them). And I’m like “um.. because this show is about the stories of these women. Not everything has to revolve around men.” And he’s like “Oh is that what you think? The men in this don’t even barely get to talk. It’s sexist.” ...Ya’ll my man is 36 years old btw not a little boy so I felt really uncomfortable he had a problem with women being leading roles... I told him that was so fucking weird of him to say and he told me I’m weird for thinking it was weird for him to say. I’m really turned off by him having an issue with women being leading roles, I feel that’s a bit of a red flag...
