Braxton hicks?

I'm 26 weeks, I've been having braxton hicks for a few weeks but the past week it's been all day every day, without consistency. For the last half hour it's been every 5 minutes, sometimes painful and always uncomfortable. My doctor's office is closed.... is this normal?

I’ve gotten them since 25 weeks. I’m currently almost 38 and everytime mine started getting closer together I’d drink a shit ton of water & it always made them go away within a couple hours. When I say a shit ton, I MEAN A SHIT TON. Like til you feel like you’re nothing but water 🙃 The first time they got regular I was 28 weeks and went to L&D and they just monitored and stuck me on an IV. Waiting around for them to slow down at 26 weeks is pretty risky because they need time to stop your labor if it isn’t Braxton Hicks. After that initial time though I’d just immediately start drinking water any time I got Braxton Hicks, weather they were regular or close together or not. Dehydration has SOO much to do with them. I always thought they were just annoying when they tell you you’re dehydrated but alot of the times that is the case (for me at least) Once I hit 34 weeks I’ve been getting them more consistently and noticeable. Usually every few days - about 10 minutes apart for 2ish hours until they slow down. I hope this helped a little .. can you call L&D to ask their opinion. Given the virus I’d hate to see you go in if these are indeed just BH but incase it isn’t just BH you can’t wait them out too long just Incase they need to stop labor. 😔
