Pre-seed does it work?

Those who have used pre-seed... did it work wonders?! Next month is my first official month where I’m going to track with ovulation strips and bbt. I honestly have no idea what I’m doing I’m trying to learn, but I keep seeing you ladies talk about using pre-seed! Anyone have good outcomes using this stuff?!

I always thought pre seed was the “magical” stuff we were missing and really got excited when we first used it. It didn’t work many cycles for us, but it helps some. It certainly doesn’t hurt but it isn’t a miracle worker. My issue was irregular ovulation so I could have used it forever and it may have never helped. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wish you luck.

I recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler since you’re not really sure what to look for yet before buying preseed. It will help you understand the process of the Fertility Awareness Method and what to look for.
Preseed is only truly helpful for women who don’t naturally produce fertile-quality cervical fluid. If you do, well, then you’re likely just wasting your money as it won’t increase your chances. Of course, it doesn’t HURT anything, so if you really want to try it, go for it. 
What preseed mainly does is give the sperm a medium to swim and survive in long enough to reach the egg. This is exactly what your cervical fluid does. Eggwhite cervical fluid is the most fertile, and with it, sperm can live for up to 3-5 days. If you’re already producing this cervical fluid around the time of ovulation, preseed won’t do anything to make them live any longer than they already would.

Pre-seed is a personal lubricant that does not trap sperm. It is as simple as that.
Normally it is not an issue for sperm to swim though saliva or normal lubricants you can buy. But if the sperm is of bad quality or quantity, Pre-seed can make the difference between a weak swimmer being able to get to your cervix, or just dying in your vagina, trapped in the fluids.
Pre-seed is not going to make you more fertile, or improve his sperm.

I tried for over 6 months with my last baby (I got pregnant fairly easy with my other 3) I tried preseed 2 cycles and ended up with a healthy baby boy. He’s 14 months now. We’ve now been trying since October, I used preseed once this cycle and now I’m pregnant again. YES I RECOMMEND THIS STUFF TO PEOPLE WHO DONT HAVE “somewhat serious” fertility issues.
