Fetal doppler? 6w3d

Question

Has anyone ever gotten a fetal Doppler to find the heartbeat before your first appointment? Is it  bad to use? They pushed my appointment further (10w) due to coronavirus outbreak. I previously had a miscarriage at 8w so I just want reassurance /:

It’s pretty much impossible to find a heartbeat with at home Doppler before 9 weeks at the earliest. Most cannot find it until around 12 weeks.

I’ve found the heartbeat at 10w. But that is pretty early. You’d never find it at 6-7 weeks.

I wasn’t able to find mine until 8w2d and I was very surprised I did. Now I’m 10w1d and have no problem finding it when I want to.

It hasn't been proven bad to use for the baby, but it can cause anxiety if you cannot find the heartbeat.(which is not good for any pregnancy). It's extremely hard to find it any earlier than 10 weeks. It's easy for baby to hide, so you may be able to find it one day and not the next. Also if you dont know what you are doing you might think you hear baby but you are hearing yourself.

I have never been able to find mine til 11 + weeks at home

I personally wouldn’t only because 1 your to early still but also it can put stress on you & baby. I’d love to hear my baby every day but won’t because of this reason. 💛
