I WANT TO HEAR FROM Y’ALL WHO ARE ON THE RING.

So, on Dec13,2019, the FDA approved the first generic brand of Nuvaring, called Eluryng.

I get 3 at a time with my prescription from my GYN.

So when I went to pick up my prescription at the end of Feb, the pharmacist said “it’s been switched to the generic brand now.” I figured that would be fine, right? Ehh

I’ve been experiencing some less than ideal symptoms, and so I started looking into it online. So far, I’ve found maybe only 10 reviews, and 9 of them are saying they are having bad symptoms and want to switch back to Nuvaring.

One review said switching back would mean having to pay a $100 copay now instead of for free like before.

I personally believe the Eluryng is a harder, less flexible plastic, and I’ve been experiencing some discomfort due to that.

I am experiencing headaches, abdominal pain/discomfort, and weight gain (to explain that last one, I’ve never been able to gain weight in my whole life).
