Kinda, I work at macys part time and we’re closed for two weeks, maybe more. I’m getting unemployment but it’s not much between a phone bill, getting food, utilities, and trying to help my mom out. The only good thing about getting no hours is that I can focus more on school right now.

My work is drastically reduced because I write medical reports for a living. Since all elective procedures and non-urgent visits have been postponed until further notice, I’m only typing up emergency surgeries and ER visit notes. Thankfully the Canadian government has issued financial aid for those of us who are still working but not as many hours as we normally do (since I don’t qualify for EI because I’m technically self-employed), and also those whose work is effected by having kids home from school. This will help so much.
