How to decide in what to major in?

Hi everyone! I’m a junior in high school and well this is the time to really start knowing what I want to do in college. However, I’m starting to worry and stress out so much because I have no idea what I really want to major in. 
I love learning about new cultures and their languages and music. That’s why I have started considering these majors:
• International business (I’m not good at math tho)
• Hospitality management (seems ok but don’t know if I’d like it or if this major will give me a job that’s in demand)
• International studies/relations (I’m not really into politics if that is what this major is about)
• Linguistics (I’ve thought about this major a lot, but I don’t think I would really want to look and analyze texts a lot.)
These were a couple majors I have done a little research on, but still have no idea what to do. Any advice or tips to help me out? If you want you can comment on other majors that I might be interested in or give me more information on the majors I wrote, I would really appreciate it. How did you guys come to a decision?

Talk to people or watch videos of people who have graduated in the degree you want, I can't stress this enough! It's always good to see a perspective from someone who's there.

if you aren't comfortable with math i wouldn't do a business major. some specific majors in the business department are less math dependent (one of my bffs is doing management information systems, which is less math) but they still require a whole lot of numbers. i'm a business administration major. we're required to take multiple accounting classes. my bff just takes managerial accounting but i have to take financial (3 levels) and managerial accounting. i also have to take the equivalent of three levels of calc (differentials, integrals, and vectors) in addition to economic analyses (more calc), data science, financial engineering, game theory, etc.

Consider anthropology! That was my major and there's literally so much you can do with it, focusing on different cultures and people. But know that it's okay if you don't know what you want to do in college. I changed my major at least five times before deciding on anthropology. My best advice is to go and get your general education courses out of the way, and maybe through that and taking classes in different disciplines, you'll figure out what it is you want to do. But don't get too worried about it now!

Shadow someone in that field! Ask friends/families if they know anybody in that field. Ask them questions to see if it’s the right fit for you. I think in high school you have an idea of which field you want to go into.... it’s either science or non-science. Then when you’re in college, you’ll know your strengths and your weaknesses to help you narrow down your major. Maybe it’ll even take a couple of classes your freshman year to help you see which major feels right. It’s definitely good to think about it now as a junior, but don’t be too hard on yourself. You still have senior year to do tours and ask questions about the departments your interested in. Best of luck!

I think international studies would be great for what you are into. My brother has his degree in this and he concentrated in middle eastern studies. He learned a lot about history, culture, religion, literature and there was some politics but it didnt dominate

You might want to look into degrees in anthropology or sociology. Both can allow you to work with your interest in different cultures (also neither are all too math heavy since that seems to be a concern of yours).

I recommend not declaring your major until you get some general classes out of the way. It’ll give you a chance to talk to other students and get a feel for where you fit it.
