Allergic To Chicken Meat?

Question

Quick random question here to those with food allergies. If somebody was to be allergic to chicken meat, could they still eat eggs? Hot dogs? And if they were to order chicken alfredo could they still eat it if they picked the chicken out? Wouldn't the chicken juice still be in the noodles and cause a reaction? 🤷‍♀️ Thanks in advance!

I don’t have any food allergies but based on my (minimal) training on food safety working in a food place, everyone is different. Some people will also be allergic to the eggs and some will not. Some people are able to pick around their allergen, some are not. There are different severities. I’m open to corrections but I’m pretty sure I am correct in that.

Have a bff who is allergic to eggs. Severe reaction and trip to er even after administering her epi-pen. It’s serious for her. She eats chicken 24/7 like breakfast lunch and dinner. She even jokes if she eats enough chicken it’ll eliminate her enemy the egg. And it’s a running joke for us what came first the chicken or the egg. Everyone is different but she can have chicken but not egg.

Depends on how severe the allergy is. It might be more of an intolerance where their body can’t digest it (gives them diarrhea, etc) than an actual allergy where you get hives or have an anaphylactic reaction.
