Am I in shock!?

My period came according to the app projection. I am normally very light so it last 2 days and I did t give it any thought. A day or so from ending I realized I was spotting. The spotting lasted over a week which is not normal. I emailed my doctor- who stated observe for 3 months and than make an appointment- which I thought was odd. Fast forward to this morning. I took a test... am I just in shock?
