Question

How the heck do I find a mid wife?! They’re the ones who deliver babies right? I don’t want to go to the hospital to deliver ... I heard they’re separating mothers and babies if you test positive for Covid-19... and I am not at all okay with that.

Well yes if you test positive for covid your newborn child could contract it and die. So separating them would be potentially saving the baby. 
Honestly at this moment I don’t think delivering with a midwife at home is safe. Just my thought though. Do whatever you want.

If there’s a moms group on FB ask if they have recommendations on home birth midwives. I had to do that this time around because my midwife for my first two births will be in Iceland when I’m due with this one. I got 5 decent recommendations and found one I liked. And I didn’t switch to a home birth midwife until I was 28 weeks along with my first. Good luck!! I don’t want to go anywhere near a hospital either but that’s to avoid this virus altogether.

Have you looked into birth centers in your area?

It depends on when you're due. If it's in the next 3-4 months, you're unlikely to find one. Google or mom groups in your area are your best bet of finding one. Free birth is probably your only real alternative and I wouldn't recommend it.
