Yesterday we received some bad news in that my husband is a part of the 85% of the pilots in his company being laid off. I am due to have my baby in less than 2 weeks and I don’t have a job to go to now or when I’m ready to go back after I have the baby.

My question is about rent. We live in Connecticut right on the edge of the NY state line where rent is crazy expensive. We also just moved here one month ago so we still have a ways to go on our lease. Are they implementing any laws about getting out of your lease or at least putting off payments? We are set to pay the month of April but after that, especially with a newborn, I’m not sure how we will afford it anymore.
