So I live in CA where we are currently observing the full shut down of the state save for “essential” businesses. I work as a receptionist at an auto repair shop so we are still open.

The unfortunate part is that my doctor is recommending that I stay home but I can’t collect disability yet because my job is still deemed essential.

I know that so many other people are in the same situation and it’s just a crazy time right now. The part that is unfortunate is that my husband and I just bought a house. Our first mortgage payment is due April 1st. If I am not working, we will not be able to afford our new mortgage.

Again, I know many people are in the same situation. Just makes me want to turn back time to last month and hold off on buying a house. I just can’t believe the timing.

So my options are to continue going to work against the advice of my doctor or to stop working and not be able to pay my bills??
