Is it true the mayor said partners are allowed during labor and delivery? I heard this from a friend that the mayor announced this today but I can’t find it anywhere

You can call your hospital and ask what their policy is right now. I’m not from New York, but as far as I have read all hospitals within the New York Presbyterian system are not allowing any visitors including birth partners. 
I’m in CA and there is a decision being made soon regarding if all of our hospitals will be banning any birth partner.

I’m not from NY but I heard yes! For public hospitals only, I don’t think he said anything about the private hospitals.

We should ALL sign this petition so they change the policy in NY for laboring mothers. If we do not stop it now, every other state will follow with the same guidelines!

The mayor said on the 5pm news yesterday that your partner can be in the room. Everyone except mom will be in a mask  and gown regardless of natural or csection!!

Yes one support person. But every hospital is different and things can change at anytime

I thought I heard something but I also cannot find an article on it. Have you tried watching his whole press conference from today? He might say it in that. You can always call or check your hospitals website for the most up to date restrictions
