42 & pregnant, should I be on progesterone?

I've had issues with loss and premature births previously and am now 5w2d pregnant. Should I find a dr and get on progesterone? I'm so afraid of another miscarriage 😔

Progesterone supplements is not the cure all for miscarriages. My last miscarriage my dr put me on it due to miscarriages but at 8 weeks my baby was measuring at 5 weels went back 2 weeks later and no baby I miscarriaged a few days after that I would have sooner if not for the progesterone but my baby obviously had chromosome issues so regardless progesterone or not still would have miscarried. So if something is wrong with the fetus progesterone wont save it unfortunately. Good luck!

I would definitely talk to your doctor as soon as possible

I had 3 rainbows last year.  I’m 45 and now 4 weeks. 
Started myself on progesterone cream until my ob sorted my prescription.  Which I now have as of today. Yay.   I bought the cream amazon. 
Once you start progesterone  you have to continue until the placenta can take over at 12 weeks approx.
