Dummy problems!
My daughter is 3 weeks old. She’s had a dummy since she was about 2 days old. I only give it her during the day but not a night time, purely because as soon as it falls out her mouth, she wakes up and cries. It falls out probably every 10 mins so it’s a cycle of putting it back in every 10 mins and I get no sleep! I don’t really like giving it her during the day as it’s kinda the same thing but for some reason not as bad during the day? Unless it is but I just don’t notice because I’m not in zombie mode absolutely exhausted lol! My problem is, she LOVES dummy! Cries for it when she doesn’t have it and it’s really hard getting her to settle and I’ve tried alsorts. Thankfully, she does sleep well at night without it (most of the time) but that’s only because I take it away from her at about 6/7pm to get her used to not having it so that when bedtime comes (9.30pm) she sleeps fine without it.
My question is, how can I stop this dummy from falling out?!?! I want her to have it because she loves it and it clearly comforts her but I haven’t got the energy and I can not survive on 10 mins sleep at a time, it’s so tiring. I’m tempted to attach an elastic band to it and put it around her ears lol😂😂😂😂 ... joking!!
