I am 21. At 18 I was told I would have extreme difficulty conceiving, if I could conceive at all. I’m sure you could imagine my surprise when my period was late yesterday. The positive on the test was very clear and fast. I know I don’t want a child right now. My life is nowhere near where I want it to be to start a family. I have booked an abortion and the only people who know are my best friend and my brother because he will be driving me to my appointment. I’m so torn on how I feel. A part of me is relieved because I now know that I can conceive but I’m not ready for kids. I never thought I’d be put in this position.
