My son is exactly the same. I'm sure it's just a phase they'll outgrow!

I don’t think it’s a worry my son has been doing the same as well he knows how to roll both ways but once he’s in his back it’s like a turtle who can’t roll over. He prefers to be sitting and he’s now trying to stand. He hasn’t figured out crawling but he can get around if he really wants to.

I don’t think you should be worried. My son refuses to crawl because he learned to sit up. Lol.
