Food Allergy ?

My 1 year old just ate a small spoon full of corn and crab bisque (was not spicy or hot temp wise at all) and then she got this redness on her face about a minute later. Also she scooped a load of ranch in her mouth but that’s not anything new to her. Wondering if anyone’s baby’s also had a reaction like this to shellfish, I did give her Benadryl a few minutes ago so not sure yet if it’s working.

That does look like a mild reaction to the shellfish yes, often when babies are young they can develop allergies out of no where and unfortunately fish is normally one of the most common. Keep an eye on it though and ensure that it remains as only blotchy skin and she does not take a more severe reaction!

Looks like a small one. My son had an allergic reaction and got hives all over his face and mouth and blew up like a balloon.

My son used to get like when he would eat certain things, and he would grab his tongue. Doctors said it was an allergy. He grew out of it. Just try to identify exactly what it is and keep it away till later in life and you can re introduce it.
