My blood is black/dark brown??

Question

I’ve never had this happen before and I know when wearing pads after awhile the blood oxidizes and TURNS brown but all of the fresh blood leaving my body (for example, when I wipe) is brown/black and I don’t know why?? I’ve never experienced this before and I was wondering if anyone knew? Thanks.

It's old blood coming out of you. I get it at the ending of my period every month
