I started birth control mid my two week window...wasn't trying before but plan to next month. 
I started the birth control on Thursday and had sex on Saturday. Is it effective?

You need to take the pill as directed or use another type that will work for you. Birth control pills should be started the first day or your cycle. Starting them mid cycle is really going to screw everything up. Pills should be taken every day at the same time of day, if you can’t commit to taking them properly try a simpler type of birth control.
