Training wheels or no training wheels?

That is the question! 
I need to get a bike for my 3 year old - it will be his first bike. 
Looking at amazon I’m noticing lots of bikes with no no training wheels or pedals.
Is this the new thing?
Which bike should I get, with training wheels or without?

We got my son one from Walmart with training wheels. I also suggest you look at how the training wheels are attached. We got one where they can be adjusted as a lot of the non adjustable ones seemed off balance.

We got a balance bike which our son really took to last summer. We actually JUST bought him a big boy bike yesterday and he’s already riding without training wheels. I think it depends on your kid and their balance/confidence.

Kind of a late response but we initially were going to get a balance bike (no pedals or training wheels) but we had her try both out and ended up getting one with training wheels because she did not like the balance bike at all.

We got a balance bike ( no pedals or training wheels) that way when she’s ready she won’t need training wheels we can just get her a bike with pedals lol

I'd suggest WITH training wheels. Alot of them you can take off to transition. My 3 year old takes off with her training wheels. Gives you a piece of mind

I think some are called “push bikes”
It depends.. I have my trading wheels for my son, but I have also heard that the push bike is good too to learn balance.🤷‍♀️

My daughter got a balance bike for her third birthday (no pedals) and it’s super hard for us to teach her how to use it, but I don’t think training wheels would be any easier. It took us forever to teach her how to use a tricycle until one day she was like, duh obviously I can do this perfectly. 😆 I have seen kids ZOOM on balance bikes so I vote that just because their feet are on the ground and they don’t fall as far.
