I’ll give some background about my job and situation:

I am in high school and I work on the weekends (and during vacations) at a ski resort as an Instructor Aid! I work with the 3-6 year olds (mostly 3 and 4s) at the ski school program and it’s so much fun! I’m basically getting paid to hang out with kids all day, we check them in, help them get on and off ski lifts, get them lunch, and help calm them down if they’re overwhelmed. I have another year of high school left and was planning on coming back next year for sure but...

I was supposed to visit France with my school this April, but obviously due to coronavirus it had to be postponed, so we are going next February. But, February vacation is one of our busiest times at work and I won’t be there (especially as the only aid from out of state, I am the only one who will be able to work that week because everyone else will be in school).

I’m really nervous that I won’t get rehires next year because I won’t be able to work during one of our busiest weeks. I love my job and it would be devastating if I couldn’t work next winter. Do you think I would be rehired??
