Food help!

So due to covid -19 people where I work are being mandated and relying on agency meals for the time they are there. Those who do not work in the residential units are being asked to provide home cooked meals to send up occasionally. Well my husband is now out of work for who knows how long, and money will be tight for us. I would still like to participate in the meals but at a budget. What are some go to yummy meals that are cost effective and I can make a lot of at once without breaking the bank?
