I keep trying to mind answers but I’m stumped. I read dependents won’t receive them and I haven’t filed taxes since like 2016 since I’ve been married and became a mom

I believe if you’re married and your spouse filed for y’all, you should get the $2400. But honestly I’m not sure 🤷🏻‍♀️ you may want to talk to a tax person who would have more info on this

You won’t as an individual, but it depends how you and your husband filed taxes. He can’t claim you as a dependent, but did he file married?

I found this. My guess is that your husband files as head of household, and therefore would only qualify for $1200 and $500 a child.

Does your husband file the taxes? As long as he's filling as married and you'll get $2400 plus $500 for every child claimed. Most likely he does file married bc he can get more money back.

I read about the check. My parents are happy and told us about it telling us we are getting one (we moved in the middle of this not knowing what was happening since we have never had tv) so were jobless working for our landlord in return for rent. Then i read that you or your spouse has to file taxes in order to get it. Were totally screwed since we wasnt eligable to file taxes this year or last 😔 food banks are even closed so we have no food. This virus sucks
