Spent all night at the hospital...

Jenn

I had the most miserable night. Just as I was wanting to fall asleep, I started shaking, uncontrollably. This is my 4th, so I have felt that before, I feel that during transition (like right before you need to start to push.) I then got very nauseous. It was very late and all I wanted to do was to fall asleep, but it wouldn’t stop, I was having some contractions, but non too painful or consistent. I then needed to get up, I was shaking so bad and felt the need to vomit. I did get sick and just kept shaking. I decided that it was time to wake my husband. I was so worried about her coming as quickly as my last as we had her within 10 mins of getting tot he hospital. So, my husband decided to call my mother (to watch our other children). She lives close so was over quickly. We then leave and my contractions are picking up in the car. We need to pull over again as I need to vomit. We finally get to the hospital, things are progressing, they check me and I’m almost to a 3. Things start to slow a bit, we wait it out, I am feeling better and not shaking anymore. They check me again, no change. They pick up again, lots of back pain/ labor, they check me, I’m at a 4. They want me to wait it out more. My contractions are very irregular and time is passing it’s now nearly 5

in the morning and my husband and I are just ready to go home and go to bed. They check me again. I’m almost a 5, but say I can go home if I want. I did, I just work up 3 hours later and nothing. What a waste of a night. I am only 37+1, but I’m just ready for her here before things get too crazy in my town from Covid 19.
