My boyfriend is mentioning kids more after we stopped using condoms? Update

I'm on the pill and am not super worried about pregnancy but I noticed my boyfriend has begun absentmindedly mentioning kids. He'll say something about our dog will have to get used to a baby car seat and things like that. 3 months ago he said he wasn't sure if he wanted kids and now it seems like they're in the forefront of his mind. Anyone else's SO start doing this?

Update: I asked him about it last night and he said "Well you want kids and I do too someday" I told him it was because he said soon and he just kinda shrugged. Like what am I supposed to do with that??
