Jaundice babies... has anyone had success with sunlight treatment?

Yes, my second had jaundice and kept her next to our large living room window and it helped clear it up without light therapy. Baby shouldn’t be placed in direct sunlight. Indirect sunlight is recommended.

Yep, did this with my son. He was in just a diaper and we would lay him near a window in indirect sunlight for a nap in the middle of the day. We would do our early morning feed and take him out front and sit in the shade of a tree with a bit of light trickling through (my moms favorite time with him), and then my husband and I would put him in the stroller and go for a late afternoon walk, in just a diaper. It cleared up in about a week and a half.

My son has breastmilk jaundice so it’s ongoing and we do sunshine at least 15 minutes a day and it keeps his levels down.

Yep both my kids had it. I just held them by the window when the sun was shining on it and after a few days it cleared out.

Me! Kept my little one in the light as much as possible and she was fine within a month. If you are breastfeeding that makes the yellow worse it’s called “breast milk jaundice”.
