Boy or girl with ICSI?

Question

Does anyone know if ICSI favors one gender over the other? We did ICSI and I want a girl SO badly so I’m curious if it’s a 50/50 chance or if one gender occurs more often? I feel like I read somewhere that males are more common, but I can’t remember where I saw that or if it’s just in my head for no reason lol.

We did ICSI and ended up with 3 girls and 2 boys. We didn’t pick the gender though and told them to just transfer the strongest embryo and that ended up being a boy. 😂 But we did end up with more girls!

I read somewhere that with regular ivf boys are more common and with icsi girls are more common because they are slower swimmers therefore easier to catch. I don’t know if there’s any truth to that but hoping you get your baby girl. 💕 we did 2 transfers 1 fresh 1 frozen from same retrieval and had 4 embryos total, we didn’t do PGS or ICSI and I got pregnant both times with boys (first was miscarried @ 16wks and welcomed our rainbow baby boy last year).

I heard that regular IVF favors boys, but ICSI favors girls!

I read somewhere too that boys are more common. I can’t remember where but it wasn’t by that much (maybe 5-7% more likely). You can do PGS testing for an extra cost in order to figure out the gender of each embryo!
