FaceTime during ultrasound?

For those who’ve already had their ultrasound and your partner wasn’t permitted to come, did your clinic allow you to take video or FaceTime your partner in? I got an email from my clinic this week saying they’re no longer allowing any visitors to appointments. I will call before our ultrasound next week, but just curious what everyone’s experience has been. I work in a hospital and understand the precautions, but I’m still devastated that my husband may not be able to share this experience for our first child after struggling with infertility.

I went for my anatomy scan today. Normally they don't allow pictures or videos but today the ultrasound tech asked me if there was anyone I would like to FaceTime. I guess it just depends on the office

I had my ultrasound on Tuesday. At first they told me no facetime but then the tech went and checked and said it was ok as long as there was no recording. I kept the facetime going during my appointment with the doctor afterwards as well. My husband would have been allowed to come but the kids were not so he had to stay home with them.  My next 2 prenatal appointments are going to be virtual for now, I may not go back in until I'm 32 weeks (I'm 20 today).

I had my scan done a few weeks ago. My tech wasn’t sure about FaceTime when I initially asked then came in and said I could. It was blurry for my husband to see so he kept asking questions which I could tell the tech couldn’t answer as she was trying hard to get all accurate measurements. All ended up great and our baby boy completely healthy and growing which is the most important. I know we are all devastated to go alone. Especially if this is your first like me but it is the safest for you and your growing baby. Our tech also gave me so many pictures to take home for husband and family. I was allowed to Facetime my partner during the anatomy scan due to him not being allowed to be there physically.

Last Monday, for my anatomy scan, I was allowed to facetime my hubby.

Ours is on the 13th and the dr already assured me their normal policy of not filming will be waived so I can FaceTime with my husband if we’re able.

They wouldnt let me video chat or record but she told me she would make me a dvd and she printed a ton of pics. The dvd had all the pics and tons of video...you could ask if they can do that...

Mine had signs everywhere to turn off cell phones 😒 so I just sent pics of the pics the tech gave me as soon as she left the room. It sucked he couldn’t see her and our son couldn’t see either but unfortunately it is what it is. Our governor issued a stay at home order the other day and was effective this morning at midnight so now the elective ultrasound place is closed until it’s lifted so we potentially can’t even do that unless things are lifted before the middle of next month. As of right now ours is until April 30th.
